Star Vision Corp. (SAVC) Certified for ISO 27001:2022 Information Security Management System; Certificate Presentation Ceremony Held on November 1, 2024
General Manager Po-Lung Li stated that Star Vision Corp. (formerly Opto Tech Corporation) boasts over 40 years of rich experience in digital display systems. Since 1983, the company has been dedicated to the manufacturing and sales of optoelectronic semiconductor components, completing its first large-scale digital display system in 1991. Beyond leveraging deep expertise in optical component characteristics to deliver diversified, customized solutions, SAVC places paramount importance on information security and confidentiality to protect the rights and interests of all stakeholders.
To ensure the company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) complied with the ISO 27001:2022 standard, SAVC conducted multiple training sessions and, through the efforts of its project team, completed the drafting of all required ISO system documentation, company-wide risk assessments, and internal audits. Following rigorous document reviews and on-site audits by SGS Taiwan, a leading third-party certification body, SAVC officially passed the certification process on August 22, demonstrating its strong commitment to and active implementation of information security. Moving forward, the company will adhere to a spirit of continuous improvement to build a watertight security defense, ensuring the protection of rights for customers, employees, supply chains, shareholders, and all other stakeholders.
Chairman Cheng-Yi Tai highlighted that while the rise of computers, the internet, and artificial intelligence has driven rapid technological advancements, it has also brought growing security threats such as computer viruses and hacker attacks, making the reinforcement of information security urgent. SAVC’s IT data center management, network and security equipment management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and core operational systems now fully comply with ISO 27001:2022 requirements and have been integrated into Star Vision’s ISMS. SGS Taiwan has been commissioned to conduct certification audits and periodic surveillance audits to ensure ongoing compliance with the latest security standards and practical operational effectiveness.
The ISO 27001:2022 certification presentation ceremony was held on the morning of November 1 in the Star Vision conference room. SGS Taiwan Vice General Manager Po-Yu Pao and Account Manager Yu-Kai Zhang presented the ISO 27001:2022 certificate to SAVC Chairman Cheng-Yi Tai and General Manager Po-Lung Li. The event was attended by key management representatives, including Administration Division Director Mei-Chun Chen, R&D Division Director Kuo-Shu Huang, Manufacturing Division Director Yu-Chun Lin, IT Department Section Chief (CISO) Chia-Hsuan Chen, and Quality Department Assistant Manager Tsung-Chin Yang.
